Bellemeade Power Station is located in Richmond, Virginia. The combined-cycle station produces enough electricity to power about 57,000 homes, using oil and natural gas as its fuels.
As a combined-cycle power station, Bellemeade generates electricity and produces steam for industrial use. A selective catalytic reduction system installed on the unit reduces the amount of nitrogen oxide emitted by the station.
Dominion owns and operates Bellemeade, which began commercial service in February 1997.
