Northern Neck Power Station, located in Warsaw, Virginia, produces enough electricity to power about 16,000 homes, using #2 fuel oil.
Northern Neck consists of four oil-fired combustion turbines that are operated during times of peak customer demand for electricity - on the coldest days of winter and hottest days of summer. The units began commercial service in 1971.
