Training courses make sure that Dominion’s employees,
officers and board members own and understand key provisions
of the Ethics Program and Code of Ethics. Each year,
non-union employees complete a Compliance Survey that
covers virtually every form of personal and corporate conduct — from compliance with employment laws to financial
disclosure and reporting, securities trading, conflicts of
interest, environmental compliance, and much more.
Employees are asked to report suspected misconduct or
illegal activities. A confidential telephone hotline and
Internet site are available for reporting ethical violations. |
Retaliation for good-faith reporting is strictly prohibited.
The Law Department evaluates the Ethics Program periodically
to make sure it is working as intended. Program initiatives
in 2007 included new federal regulatory compliance
training, online conflict of interest training, specialized
ethics training for employees and contractors, and
enhanced employee communications.
