Why do I need the Ten Year Heating and Cooling Repair Program?: Even brand new heating and cooling systems have limited warranties on most parts and labor and repairs for these high tech systems can be extremely expensive.
Are all makes and models included?: Most residential forced air heating and cooling systems fueled by electricity, gas, propane and oil as well as residential boiler systems under 500,000 Btu are eligible for coverage. However, geothermal heat pumps, radiant systems and steams systems are not included. Please read the program Terms & Conditions carefully for all exclusions before purchasing.
Is the program transferrable if I sell my house?: Yes, protection under the program is fully transferable to future owners at no additional charge.
Will my installer be the contractor who repairs my unit if it breaks down?: Yes. The same installer you trusted to install the unit and who currently provides yearly maintenance will also be the first contractor dispatched to fix your unit.
How much does protection cost?: The cost depends on product covered (heat pump, furnace, central air, boiler), the efficiency of the product and the add-on products (humidifier, air cleaner, programmable thermostat) included. For an exact cost, contact one of the participating contractors.
Do I have to enroll in the program at the time of installation?: No, Dominion will accept your enrollment up to sixty (60) days after installation.
What if I change my mind after enrolling?: You may cancel within thirty (30) days after enrollment and receive a full refund.
How do I receive service under the program?: Call the toll-free Program Claims Hotline at 1-800-562-8419, prior to having any repair work performed.
Will my equipment need maintenance even though it is covered for 10 years?: Yes. All equipment needs to have maintenance once a year. In order for the 10 Year Program to remain active, you must have maintenance performed by a qualified individual.
