The Water Line Preferred Restoration Program (“Program”) provides an enhanced level of restoration service after a qualifying sewer line repair, and is only available to customers actively enrolled in the Water Line Replacement Program. The Program is provided by Dominion Products and Services, Inc., hereinafter referred to as “Dominion”.
- The Program will provide the complete restoration of the portion of your paved surface or yard that was disturbed during the course of a normal water line repair/replacement excavation. Pavement restoration includes labor and relevant material for asphalt or concrete sidewalks, driveways, steps, porches, and patios. Landscaping restoration includes labor and sod, mulch, shrubs (not to exceed five gallon size), trees (not to exceed 6’ in height); resetting of bricks/stones for sidewalks, driveways, walls, and patios.
- Coverage under the Program starts after the first payment is received and enrollment in the program exceeds 30 days. Coverage continues thereafter so long as the customer makes timely payments. Customer payments prepay coverage under the Program. Coverage is suspended at the end of the prepaid period in cases of nonpayment. Customer’s account must be in good standing (current) to receive repair service under the Program. Program must be selected for each program the customer wants coverage (e.g. a customer with the Waterline Program and the Sewer Line Warranty, must purchase Preferred Restoration for both programs).
- Due to possible adverse weather conditions in winter, preferred restoration may take up to six months to be completed.
- The following are excluded from coverage under the Preferred Restoration Program:
- restoration of entire yard
- restoration of entire paved surface to match color or texture
- commercial property
- buildings, sheds, garages or any other structures
- sprinkler/irrigation systems, ponds, waterfalls or other water structures
- fields, meadows, pastures, wooded areas
- slate or other cut stone sidewalks, steps, driveways
- sod, grass, shrubs or trees that died/failed to grow due to lack of ongoing care or maintenance
- damage or conditions caused by you or a third party
- excavation started/completed prior to enrollment.
- Dominion reserves the right to modify the Program, from time to time, and will provide you thirty (30) days written notice of material changes. Dominion may also have the right to terminate the Program on ninety (90) days written notice to you.
- Dominion shall be solely responsible for the selection of a qualified restoration contractor, and in all cases will make payment directly to the contractor and not to you. Dominion will not reimburse you for restoration work performed by you or a third party.
- Coverage under the Program is limited to $1,000.00 per claim. Any amount estimated to exceed the $1,000.00 maximum must be prepaid by you directly to the contractor selected by Dominion before start of restoration.
- The Program’s liability is limited solely to the restoration of a disturbed area resulting from a covered Water Line repair. The Program shall have no liability for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or other damages. The Program will not be responsible for damage caused by the customer, third parties, natural disasters, or other insurable causes.
- Customer may cancel participation at any time.
- Obligations of Dominion under these terms and conditions are backed by the full faith and credit of Dominion.
